Sergiu Gherman is a commercial attorney. Having had experience with all stages of lawsuits, including appeals, Mr. Gherman has appeared before judges in state and federal courts. He has successfully represented clients in employment discrimination defense, trusts and estate defense, in prosecution of professional malpractice, products liability, statutory easement, insurance claims (group health, individual health, auto), as well as in appeals defending and challenging an award of attorney’s fees in wrongful death and matrimonial cases.
Sergiu Gherman is experienced in drafting commercial documents including LLC operating agreements, real estate contracts, non-compete agreements, employment agreements, drafting various assignments and loan documents, and bi-lingual Russian-English agreements for companies established in Canada, South Korea, Isle of Man, Russian Federation, Singapore, and the United States.
Mr. Gherman is the former Honorary Consul of the Republic of Moldova in the State of Florida. He has been involved in the community of Broward and Miami-Dade Counties. He was a Trustee member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, President of the Southeastern Chapter of the Moldovan-American Chamber of Commerce, member of The Chopin Foundation of the United States, Inc., Miami Bach Society, Cultural Foundation of Broward County, Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art, Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County,The Playground Theatre in Miami Shores, and the Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre in Coral Gables. He donated to the Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation. In the recent past he volunteered for The Polk Theatre, Inc., a non-profit organization, serving as a chair of the finance committee and a member of the board of trustees.
Mr. Gherman is a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, and of University of Florida in Gainesville. Mr. Gherman also graduated from the Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca (Klausenburg), Romania.
